Development permits were filed for the approval of remodeling the building at 2327 Fruitvale Avenue in Foothill, Oakland. The project proposal includes converting the existing single-family residence into a triplex. The current residence is a two-story single-family dwelling. The project also provides for the construction of a rear attached three-story addition. 3R Studio is managing the design concept and construction of the residential development.
The total building area proposed is 3,856 square feet with 1,400 square feet for the first floor, 1,300 square feet for the second floor, and 1,156 square feet for the third floor. Garage space of 997 square feet and a rear porch is also planned.
The building facade will rise to thirty-five feet, and the proposal aims to preserve the existing elements. A total of two-vehicle parking spaces are also planned.
The estimated date of completion has not been announced yet.
The site location is in a walk and bike-friendly neighborhood. Residents can accomplish most of the daily chores on foot. There are many restaurants, grocery, and convenience stores located nearby. The area is well-serviced by MUNI bus lines like 14, 20, 21, 40, 57, and 62.
