Renderings have been revealed for an affordable housing structure at 1007 Blossom Hill Road in Blossom River, San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of affordable housing on a site occupied by a popular restaurant.
Jemcor Development Partners LLC is sponsoring the project. Water Dragon 289 LLC is listed as the property owner.
The project site is a 1.9-acre parcel. The seven-story complex will consist of 269 apartments.
The restaurant spanning 11,900 square feet is slated for demolition in June 2022. The units will be offered as a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The average square footage of the units is 767 square feet. The unit sizes range from 586 square feet to 1,200 square feet. The apartments will be under 100% deed-restricted affordable housing.
The project is a part of Urban Village, a master planning strategy intended to allow the city to achieve its 2040 General Plan of increased urbanization and transit availability.
The property site is situated north of Blossom Hill Road between Winfield Drive and Blossom River Drive. The site is a few blocks away from Westfield Oakridge Mall.
After the mid-2022 start, the project is anticipated to be completed by 2024.
