A preliminary application has been filed revealing plans for a seven-story residential building at 155 South 11th Street in East Campus, San Jose. The proposal would create 91 affordable units on top of a parcel spanning less than half an acre. Lighthouse at Grace LLC is responsible for filing, and the property had been owned by a Fraternity, Sigma Nu’s Zeta Iota Chapter.

The application has been accepted by the city planning department for review by staff member David Fong. The project abuts the Grace Baptist Church, a member of the Evergreen Association of American Baptists and the American Baptist Churches USA.

155 South 11th Street has located just a block from the San Jose State University campus’s 111-foot high nine-story Business Tower for the Lucas Graduate School of Business. The project is in an area of several existing apartment buildings, and two blocks from 525 Santa Clara Street along the main commercial thoroughfare running through Downtown San Jose.
