Final design review is pending for a mixed-use project at 1951 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development 0f a residential complex with commercial and parking spaces. Plans also call for the demolition of two existing commercial buildings.

Grosvenor America is the property owner. Solomon Cordwell Buenz is responsible for the design concepts and construction. PGA Design is the landscape architect.

The project proposes the redevelopment of the project site spanning an area of 17,424 square feet. The project will bring a twelve-story building featuring 163 residential units. The building will yield a gross floor area of 179,680 square feet. Commercial space spanning an area of 5,178 square feet will be allotted on the ground floor. A subterranean parking garage with a capacity of 100 vehicles will be constructed on the site.

The building facade will rise to a height of 120 feet. Open usable space measuring an area of 12,480 square feet has been proposed.

A design review meeting has been scheduled for today at 5 PM, details of which can be found here. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
