Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a senior housing project at 390 Floyd Street in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of an affordable housing complex for seniors located near Tamien Station in San Jose.
Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project site is a parcel spanning almost half an acre in size. The project will bring 134 dwelling units. Plans show a proposed courtyard or gathering area. The building facade will rise to a height of seven stories.
The developer of the site is seeking an expedited approval process from the city of San Jose and hopes to receive administrative approval for the project.
The project’s description was part of a preliminary proposal that was submitted to municipal planners. The project is in the early review phase, and the estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
