Oakland Planning Commission has approved the revisions proposed for a five-story project at 550 27th Street in Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a residential facility, including market-rate and affordable housing units.
Accel Equity V, LLC is the project applicant. Humphreys and Partners Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 0.33 acres. The project will bring 44 residential units where 40 units were previously proposed. The project offered 20 parking spaces, and now, the removal of seven parking spaces is proposed.
The proposed revisions include facade changes, removal of private decks, and construction of a new rooftop open space. Removal of balconies and concessions and waivers under density bonus incentives is proposed.
Renderings showcase a contemporary podium-style design with a colorful facade. The building premises will feature well-landscaped open areas.
The project is under the review phase, and an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
