A new mixed-use village with several hundred homes has been proposed at 681 East Trimble Road in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of a large scale community offering residential and commercial spaces. The property at present consists of long-time orchard sites.
Real estate firm The Hanover Co is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts.
The property site is a large parcel spanning an area of 22 acres. An estimated 1,473 residences will be developed on the site, whose addresses include 2620 Seely Avenue in San Jose. Commercial space spanning an area of 53,800 square feet will be developed on the site, accommodating a new grocery store. A public park will also be part of the project.
The residences will be offered as 1,147 market-rate rental apartments, 172 affordable rental apartments, and 154 for-sale townhomes. Tsukuda Fruit Stand, a fresh produce store, is a notable business on the property.
The project is under review and the estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The property site sits near the corner of Montague Expressway and Seely Avenue in north San Jose.
