Building permits have been issued for the development of 4311 MacArthur Boulevard in Laurel, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of affordable senior housing in a five-story building.
AMG & Associates is responsible for the development. Architects Orange is responsible for the design concepts.

The project site is a parcel composed of merging three lots together. The project will bring 197 apartments for seniors at affordable rates. The residential building will feature modular units offered as a mix of studio apartments. The housing complex will yield a total built-up area spanning 111,972 square feet.

The building facade will rise to a height of 70 feet. The complex will feature 2,470 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Parking for eight vehicles and 73 bicycles will be provided on the site. Renderings reveal a design showcasing attributes such as a flat roof, varying hues of orange and beige, and wooden facade projections.

The project has received building permits to begin construction. However, an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
