Permits have been filed for a new residential project proposed for development at 1517 E Street in Mansion Flats, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of 16 homes, replacing an existing two-story commercial structure. The now-vacant building had been occupied by the SPCA Thrift Store.
Tarik Taeha of Pearl Seven Inc is listed as the property owner. MHA Architects is responsible for the designs. H&H Consultant Engineering is responsible for the project architecture, landscaping, MEP, and structural engineering. Rose’s will be involved with civil engineering.
The project proposes to develop 16 three-story townhome-style development. In previously provided plans, five iterations were presented for the exterior color palette. In November 2020, the initially proposed plans depicted the conversion of the existing structure to house ten units. The newest design shows more housing and a protected mid-building corridor.
An application has been submitted to the Sacramento Planning Commission for site plan and design review. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
The property site is located between 15th and 16th Street, connecting E Street to Democracy Alley. The townhomes will be 15 minutes away from the California State Capitol Park on foot, with most of Downtown Sacramento reachable in less than 15 minutes by bicycle.
