Permits have been filed proposing a new residential project at 3625 Fong Ranch Road in South Natomas, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of five new four-story buildings offering 500+ apartments units, both market and affordable units, parking, and onsite residential amenities.
Anton Development is the project developer.
The project site is a large vacant parcel spanning an area of 18.5 acres. The project proposes the development of a new residential community comprising of five buildings, each rising to four stories. The residential project will yield a total built-up area spanning 702,624 square feet and offer a total of 555 residential units. The project will also offer a club house measuring 4,750 square feet. Out of the total, 90 units will be offered as affordable units. 272 units span less than 750 square feet, with 40 units under affordable housing. 283 units will be between 750 square feet-2,000 square feet, with 50 units as affordable units.
Construction will likely begin in 2023 with first units delivering in 2024 or 2025. The Sacramento City Council last week approved an item to sell 22 acres of surplus property to Anton Development for $6.4 million.
The project still needs approval from planning, fire, public works and other city departments. A project application was submitted, awaiting review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The project site is located near Natomas High School, next to Interstate 80.
