A new residential project has been proposed for development at 1162 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. The project proposal includes the development of a residential complex offering nine dwelling units as Below Market Rate (BMR) options. The project will replace a two-story retail store–a used bookstore named Feldman’s Books.

Prince Street Partners is listed as the project applicant.

The project site spans an area of o.19 acres. The scope of work includes the construction of a new housing complex offering below-market-rate dwelling units. Plans call for the demolition of the existing 4,728 square-foot retail store. The complex will offer nine dwelling units. The residential complex will yield a total built-up area of 11,500 square feet.

Renderings reveal a set of prefabricated modular building designs.

The project site was acquired in 2017. Additionally, two other BMR housing project has been approved at 506-558 Santa Cruz Avenue and 1125 Merrill Street. A project application has been submitted and is under review. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
