The redevelopment and expansion of 3400 Laguna Street in San Francisco’s Marina neighborhood has met final approvals from the City of San Francisco and also received a notice of determination from CEQA this month. The project can now begin with the plans to expand facilities by more than 58,000 square feet.

HKS Architects is responsible for the new designs, creating a building both modern in appearance and complementary to the existing historic buildings. The proposed redevelopment will require the partial demolition of the Perry Building and the Health Care Center Building, making way for 23 new care suites. The new building will also include new parking, increasing the site’s total spaces to 36, with 18 new bicycle spaces.
The project, which has been in the works since 2022, was reported on by SF YIMBY earlier this year before going before the planning commission. Now that However, now that approvals have come in, the project can move towards construction.
