A new Tentative Mao and Grading Approval documents were submitted for a large housing project covering 400 new single-family homes and 100 ADUs in an unincorporated Higuera Highland area of Santa Clara County. The project brought by Ginsberg and Kinion Trust will be a horseback riding-focused community, including publicly shared open spaces, a riding arena, horse trails, stables, an event center, and a community center. The horseback riding trails are to connect with the nearby Joseph D Grant County Park area.

The proposed riding arenas will total over 40,000 square feet, the event center over 18,000 square feet, the stables more than 12,500 square feet, smaller offices at approximately 2,800 square feet, and a community center/restaurant/retail at nearly 13,000 square feet. Altogether, the relatively isolated development location plans to include almost everything necessary for a thriving community on site.

The submitted division for the site has not been made available for public view and is still pending review by county officials. However, if the project is to move forward, it would require significant investments in infrastructure and planning to support the 500 new homes associated with the project.
