Development plans have been filed for a new residential development in the heart of Alamo, Contra Costa County. The proposal looks to replace two office buildings at 3236 and 3240 Stone Valley Road West with housing, directly across from the Alamo Plaza Shopping Center and next to the Iron Horse Trail. TRH Holdings LLC is listed as the property owner.
The initial details shared by the Contra Costa County planning department show the anonymous developer is seeking to construct three three-story buildings with a total of sixty homes. Given the dearth of public transit in the suburban town, it’s no surprise that the project will include a substantial quantity of housing, with 122 garage spaces and 19 surface spots.
Once complete, the 1.88-acre site will achieve a site density of nearly 32 units per acre. Future residents will be across from the Safeway-anchored Alamo Plaza Shopping Center, and close to the popular Iron Horse Trail.
Public records show 3240 Stone Valley Road West last sold in May of 2007 for $7.65 million, and 3236 Stone Valley Road West last sold in 2013 for $310,000. The estimated timeline for construction have yet to be shared.
