The 95-foot-tall complex will yield around 705,240 square feet and 441 dwelling units across two structures. Building A will include 253 apartments and a 353-car garage. Unit sizes will vary with 136 one-bedrooms, 88 two-bedrooms, and 29 three-bedrooms. The podium-top amenities will include two courtyards and one pool deck. Building B will feature 188 units and 103 parking spaces. Unit sizes will vary, with 150 one-bedrooms and 38 two-bedrooms.

The application invokes Senate Bill 330 and the State Density Bonus law to streamline approval and increase residential capacity.

The rough 3.1-acre property is located along El Camino Real between Borel Avenue and Bovet Road. The property is close to the Borel Square Shopping Center and a Safeway grocery store.

Nice. I used to live across the street from there, and that zone is kind of awkward. New building would add a lot.

Walking distance to Hayward Park Caltrain, right?

  3. Yes walking distance to Hayward Park

As a neighbor I’m supportive of more housing

Kind of wish they could break this into 3 buildings on such a large lot. It’s a 8 story wall for 2 blocks on the Borel side
