Entitlement permits have been filed for the townhouse proposal at 2225 East Bayshore Road, close to the Baylands Nature Preserve in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project would replace several low-slung office structures with several dozen residential units. Maryland-based BGO is responsible for the application.
The complex will yield 127,600 square feet across 11 structures, including 62 apartments and 145 parking spaces. There will be 33 three-bedroom units and 29 four-bedroom units.

KTGY Group is responsible for the residential architecture, with the Guzzardo Partnership overseeing the landscape architecture. Illustrations show the townhouses will be wrapped in a contemporary design with limited superfluous ornamentation. The boxy exteriors will be clad in a mix of fiber cement siding, stucco, and stone veneer.
The 3.56-acre property is located along East Bayshore Road between Embarcadero Road and US 101. The property is close to the waterfront Baylands Nature Preserve with various trails and a golf course. The site is just about 15 minutes away from the Palo Alto Caltrain Station by bicycle, or 46 minutes by bus.

The site near the approved 145-unit townhouse proposal at 2100-2400 Geng Road. The initial plans invoke Senate Bill 330 to streamline the approval process. The estimated timeline has yet to be shared.
