Construction crews have topped out the six-story residential development dubbed 1910 NOMA in Walnut Creek, a burgeoning semi-urban center in Contra Costa County. Located at 1910 North Main Street, the project is rising across from Target and within walking distance of the city’s BART Station. Anton Development is responsible for the development.

The six-story building will yield 135 apartments with 10,000 square feet of retail. Unit sizes will range from studios to one and two-bedroom units. Anton DevCo also benefits from the State Density Bonus, increasing the project size by 35% by offering 11% of the 135 units as very-low-income housing. Parking will be included across two subterranean floors.

Architecture Design Collaborative is responsible for the design. The exterior will be clad with organic materials in homage to the region’s access to the outdoors. On-site amenities will be featured to benefit the residential experience, including a fitness center, lounge, and courtyard with a pool, spa, and fire pits with views of the Diablo Hills.

The project sits on an irregularly shaped acre site in Walnut Creek, establishing a new urban vernacular by transit for Walnut Creek. It is one of a few projects adding hundreds of new apartments in the area helping usher the city to be more than the retail and office nexus for the surrounding suburban towns in the East Bay.

1910 NOMA replaced a single-story commercial structure occupied by the Texas-based Fuddruckers hamburger franchise. Anton DevCo purchased the site for $9.4 million.
