Development permits have been filed for a new three-story office building at 747 52nd Street in Temescal, Oakland. The plans include relocating two existing office structures and building the Administrative Supportive Building within the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital campus. SmithGroup is responsible for the design.

The 39-foot tall structure will yield 31,300 square feet, with each floor creating around 10,480 square feet and 8,420 square feet of landscaping. The project will be close to the outpatient and patient buildings. Parking will be included for four cars and five bicycles.
SmithGroup is the project architect. Facade materials will include plaster, glazed brick along the streetscape, and perforated metal sunscreen. Degenkolb is responsible for structural engineering, MEP engineering will be done by Mazzetti, and civil engineering will be done by Sandis.

The two structures at 688 and 682 52nd Street, both office buildings in former residences, will be moved to 53rd Street. The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital is located on a prominent location along Highway 24, close to the MacArthur BART Station.
