A preliminary zoning application has been submitted seeking the review of a proposed residential project 111 Fairmount Avenue in Oakland. The project proposal includes the rehabilitation of an existing church and construction of a new five-story affordable housing complex.
Unity Council is the project applicant. First Christian Church of Oakland is the property owner.
The project will bring a new five-story residential building offering 70 units as affordable housing units. The apartment building will feature a Type 1-A podium with five floors of type V-A wood framed construction.
A project application has been submitted, seeking review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
