Pre-application permits have been filed for a four-story affordable housing build at 320 Sheridan Drive in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The plans will revive a vacant parcel at the end of a cul de sac in a suburban neighborhood with an 85-unit housing community. Alliant Strategic Development is listed as the project developer.
Further details about the project remain scarce, as the pre-application does not provide attached documents or renderings. The property overlooks Freeway 101 and Flood Park. Flood Park is the oldest park in the county east of Skyline Boulevard, occupied with old Oak Trees, redwoods, and recreational facilities. Next to 320 Sheridan Drive is LifeMoves Haven Family House, a homeless shelter run by a local non-profit. LifeMoves says they have operated for the last four decades, with 26 sites across San Mateo County and Santa Clara County.
Alliant Strategic Development President John Shaw said of their non-profit, “we focus on developing real estate that pays social dividends to our communities. Our results are driven by our dedication to excellence for our investors, stakeholders, employees and, most importantly, our residents.” Future residents will be close to a technology office district, including Facebook’s bayside campus, clustered between Freeway 101 and Highway 84.
