Preliminary permits have been filed for the 139 single-family homes at 4141 Dry Creek Road in North Sacramento. The proposal will replace a large vacant lot straddling I-80 with one-story and two-story residences. KB Homes is the project developer.
The development will span a 27.9-acre property located along I-80 and extending from Dry Creek Road to Rio Linda Boulevard. The vacant land will be split by a new internal road network connecting each home and in-house garages. Each home will have between three to four bedrooms, a front yard, and a backyard.
Project plans show each of the homes will feature similar massing and near-identical interior designs but clad with three different ‘styles’ labeled as Prarie style, Craftsman style, and Farmhouse style. Landscaping by Borrecco-Kilian & Associates will feature a variety of trees like maple and oak, along with shrubs and ornamental grass.
KB Homes is a 67-year-old suburban developer firm founded in Detroit and now based in Los Angeles. The firm boasts that it has built over half a million homes nationwide. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be established.

Ah yes, let’s double down on bad city planning.
So sad to see this lot get wasted on ugly suburbs, sacramento has got to do better.
KB Home is my biggest enemy.
Will there be any low to moderate income housing and if so, how could I get on the list early enough to have a chance. I have been trying for years & keep missing out.
