A new residential housing community has been proposed for development at 2079 South White Road in San Jose. The project proposal includes the redevelopment of a site that was previously a golf course into a residential community offering nearly 1700 dwelling units.
Terrascape Ventures LLC is listed as the project applicant. Duino Family Parts LP is listed as the property owner.
The project site spans an area of 114 acres. The scope of work includes site development for housing a residential community offering 1,716 units. Out of the total, 1,374 units will be proposed as market rate units and 342 units will be proposed as affordable housing units.
The project site is now available in the market for $125 million. The golf course was shut down in 2004, and a large residential development was proposed. However, in 2008 the City Council rejected the residential project to revise the city’s general plan.
A project application has been submitted, pending review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
