New building permits have been filed for a proposed hotel at 3031 Advantage Way in the northern stretch of Natomas, Sacramento. The proposal will add another lodging option to the freeway-side hotel enclave midway between Downtown Sacramento and Sacramento International Airport. Alabama-based Shree Surya Hospitality is listed as the property owner.
Plans to add a new hotel to the property have been moving through the city’s planning department since 2018. Alleghany Properties LLC’s initial application proposed a 110-room hotel.
The latest application calls for a similarly-sized complex. The four-story hotel is expected to contain 114 guestrooms spanning 61,660 square feet. The site map includes landscaping nd surface parking.
The roughly 2.4-acre lot is located along Advantage Way near East Commerce Way and across from the I-5 Freeway. The neighborhood is centered around the former arena of the Sacramento Kings.
Shree Surya Hospitality LLC is also the owner of the neighboring lot at 3041 Advantage Way, which has been recently developed with a four-story Aloft Hotel. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be shared.
