Preliminary permits have been filed for a three-story residential infill at 2336 Dwight Way in Southside, Berkeley. The development will produce three units on a property currently occupied by two Victorian homes. Sunday Builders Inc. is responsible for the application.
Little information has been included in the pre-application published by the city’s planning department. The three-story building will include three four-bedroom apartments, each spanning around 1,350 square feet. The application does not specify if demolition is required of the existing buildings, or if the new structure will be built in the backyard. The project applicant has not replied to a request for comment.
According to a property listing by Compass, the property features two 1900-built Victorian homes with nine bedrooms and three bathrooms. The listing describes the project as vacant, but move-in ready.
Public records show the 0.16-acre property was sold to Oakland-based LLC, United Land Power Inc. in 2022 for $1.8 million

Backyard? Looks like you could build it in the front yard…
What yard? The concrete pad is already formed lol
Lets hope they can redo the landscaping in that front “yard” too
