Plans have been filed for a townhouse development at 150 Charter Street in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The proposal would replace the existing Mi Rancho Supermarket with 58 condominiums close to a Target department store. Cupertino-based Chengde Capital LLC is listed as the project applicant.

The proposal will include 58 apartments across six three-story buildings connected by a compact internal road network. Parking will be included for 92 vehicles. There will be 48 three-bedroom and 10 four-bedroom condominiums.
Studio T Square is responsible for the design. Illustrations show the structures each clad with a complementary aesthetic, with some variation across structures. Exteriors will be clad with fiber cement siding, plaster, and faux-wood panels.

The latest application shows a market decrease in capacity and change in unit style. The previous plans, filed in 2024, called for a four-story apartment complex with 72 for-sale units designed by LDP Architecture.
The 1.8-acre property is located at the end of Charter Street, overlooking the Caltrain tracks, and a block away from El Camino Real. Downtown Redwood City is just over a mile away on foot. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.
