New renderings have been revealed for the proposed five-story hotel at 615 Stockton Avenue in Garden Alameda, San Jose. The project, to be known as Victoria Hotel, is right across the street from the northern extension of the 262-acre Diridon Station Area Plan. The proposal will open 80 new hotel guest rooms within walking distance of the Diridon Station transit hub, marking a change from a September draft to shift the project to moderate-income affordable housing. San Jose-based Infinite Investment Realty is the project owner.

The 60-foot building will yield 69,680 square feet, 53,080 square feet for guest room use, and 15,520 square feet for the parking garage basement. Parking is included on-site for 44 vehicles, five motorcycles, and 12 bicycles. For the 80 guest rooms, amenities include office space on floors two, four, and five. The third floor will be home to a community fitness center.

The ground-level lobby will be connected to a restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking Stockton and Schiele Avenue’s intersection. The building design is notably regal classical revival with arched windows along with the ground level, a porte-cochere supported by cast iron decoration, and planter-lined balconies overlooking the Stockton entry. The facade is composed of white stucco and dark bronze frames.

ATN Builders, affiliated with Infinite Investment Realty, will be responsible for construction. Demolition will be required for an existing 4,000 square foot commercial building. Hotel guests will find themselves 20 minutes from Diridon Station, serviced by Amtrack, Caltrain, and VTA, among other transit services. The station is also expected to host a BART Station by 2030, around the same time the Downtown San Jose station will open.
