A preliminary application has been submitted for a project at 375 12th Street in Downtown Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a ten-story mixed-use project with spaces for residential and commercial uses.
CITYshapers Inc is the project applicant. Twelve Oaks Investment LLC is the property owner. Hunt Hale Jones Architects is managing the design concepts and construction.
The project site is a 10,000 square-foot parcel. The project will feature a ten-story building with 54 residential units offered as a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom dwellings. The unit sizes will range from 774 square feet to 1,085 square feet, totaling 320,868 square feet of the residential area. The gross built-up square footage is 5,723 square feet. A commercial space of 3,827 square feet is proposed. On-site amenities are inclusive of courtyard spaces, a rooftop deck, an alfresco dining space, and landscaped outdoors.
The facade will rise to a height of 117 feet and features windows and project balconies to break the stylistic monotony.
The site currently houses a mixed-use development that will be demolished. The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet.
The property site is in the central business district of Oakland, located conveniently one block from Marriott Hotel, Oakland Convention Center, Oakland City Center offices, and 12th Street BART.
