Financing has been approved for half of the Oak Hill Apartments project in San Quentin, Marin County. The Marin County Board of Supervisors has authorized up to $41 million in bonds to support Eden Housing’s 115-unit proposal within the 250-unit master plan. The announcement comes less than a year after Education Housing Partners secured funding for the second portion of the hillside proposal.
State funding has been secured to push forward the Oak Hill Workforce Housing project in the unincorporated San Quentin community in Marin County. State Senate President pro Tempore Mike McGuire announced that the new state budget will allocate $7.5 million towards the 135-unit project, allowing the project to progress. Education Housing Partners is the project developer.
Belvedere City Council recently pushed forward the residential proposal along Mallard Pointe, Marin County. The 40-unit project is the city’s largest housing development to get greenlit in decades despite stiff resistance from local NIMBYs. If the project had been rejected, the developer was prepared to pursue a much larger infill using the Builder’s Remedy.
Updated plans have been reviewed by the Belvedere Planning Commission for a 42-unit residential complex along Mallard Pointe in the small Marin County island city. After a seven-hour meeting, the Planning Commission approved a motion to continue the project to the Design Review Commission. Thompson Dorfman is overseeing the development.
The State of California has certified the environmental study for Oak Hill Apartments, an affordable housing proposal in San Quentin, Marin County. The decision gives the green light to pursue construction, avoiding the need for local approval from the notoriously anti-housing county staff. Eden Housing and Education Housing Partners are joint developers.
