Meeting Today for Reduced Plans at 825 Drake Avenue, Marin City

The Marin County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to review plans today and approve reduced plans for 825 Drake Avenue in Marin City. The project was approved with 74 units in 2020 but has remained on hold ever since. This latest proposal now seeks to construct 42 units at Drake Avenue, while secondary plans are being championed to build the remaining 32 units in unincorporated Mill Valley. The Pacific Companies is responsible for the application.

Plans For School Street Housing Project in Fairfax, Marin County

Residential plans are being pursued for 95 Broadway in Fairfax, Marin County. The School Street project, also named the Modera Fairfax, could replace low-slung commercial structures with 243 homes with retail on a two-acre property in the center of town. Mill Creek Residential is the project sponsor.

Community Event Tomorrow For Auburn Grove Townhomes, San Rafael

The County of Marin has scheduled a community open house to review plans for the Auburn Grove townhouse development in unincorporated San Rafael. The event will be hosted by the developer, City Ventures, and provide the public with an opportunity to discuss the plans with the project team. The event will be held in person tomorrow evening at the Marin County Health and Wellness Center.

The project will replace a small office structure and surface parking with 19 rental townhomes, including some affordable units. AJ Craig Development is the project sponsor, filing on behalf of owner O’Neill Mullin LLC.

The Larkspur Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight for the new library at 10 Rose Lane in Larkspur, Marin County. The proposed civic building will replace a vacant 2.4-acre parcel fairly close to the city center. Berkeley-based studio Noll & Tam Architects is responsible for the design.

New renderings have surfaced for an affordable housing project to rise at 121-197 Marinwood Avenue in unincorporated land just north of San Rafael in Marin County. The project will bring over a hundred rental units to vacant land next to a grocery store in the Lucas Valley area. Tableau Development Company is responsible for the application.

Public comment has started on repurposing a former United States Coast Guard site at 100 Commodore Webster Drive into affordable housing in Point Reyes Station, an unincorporated town in Marin County. The project will bring new life to the county-owned property next to the local population center, which includes two grocery stores, restaurants, and the West Marin Elementary School. Eden Housing and the Community Land Trust Association of West Marin are jointly responsible for the development.
