Development permits have been filed for new residential construction on 9869 MacArthur Boulevard in Elmhurst, Oakland. The proposal, named the Blossom House, includes the new construction of a three-story six-unit townhouse style condominium structure. Fournier Design Studio is managing the design and project. C2 Collaborative is the landscape architect.
The applications filed describe three of the four residential buildings, or twenty units. The full proposal will feature 29 for-sale homes, ranging in size from 1,300 to 1,650 square feet. The structure will have 9,866 square feet of living space and 18 total bedrooms, along with an attached garage for each unit. Owners will have access to a landscaped, shared open space area and their own private space.
The project site was previously used as a plant nursery, and the location is serviced by ACT bus lines like 14, 40, 57, 73, and 90. Oakland International Airport is eleven minutes away by car. Oakland Zoo is fifteen minutes away by foot.
City Ventures is responsible for the development.
