Permits have been filed for on-site infrastructure improvement for a stormwater treatment vault that serves 2323 Valley Street, Oakland. The proposed improvement project will help meet the water requirements of a four-story mixed-use building on the site, named Denizen Apartments.
The project site features 34 residential units, a commercial space spanning over 4,070 square feet, and 49 parking stalls on the ground floor. Denizen also features a unique L-shaped construct that allows for a shared interior courtyard nestled amidst its walled exterior, providing an intimate community environment for its users. Flynn Architects designed the building in 2018.
Located in the Northgate-Waverly neighborhood of Oakland, the site is a resident-friendly warm community. It is right around the corner from the Hive District’s best amenities, from local bakeries and restaurants to dynamic co-working spaces, bars, and more. It is a nine-minute walk from the OR-N Richmond, the OR-S Berryessa/North San Jose, and the RD-N Richmond at the 19th Street Oakland stop. Nearby parks include Franklin Square, Kaiser Rooftop Garden, and 25th Street Mini Park.
