Site grading permits have been submitted for a new development at 100 Lafayette Circle in Contra Costa County. The project proposal includes the construction of a two-story mixed-use development. The project will replace a building that was destroyed by a fire in 2017.

Studio FCF is managing the design concept and construction.

The project site is a 0.37-acre parcel. The mixed-use project is a 10,605 square feet development, with retail space of 3,400 square feet and restaurant space proposed on the first floor. Office spaces of 1,245 square feet and 6,570 square feet have been reserved on the second floor.

A public walkway to access Happy Valley Creek will also be included. A parking space with a capacity of 28 vehicles will be designed on the site. The building facade will rise to a height of thirty-five feet.

Grading is an engineering process that adjusts the slope and soil elevation around a construction site before building.

The project is in its nascent stage; approved but has not begun construction yet. The Contra Costa County Planning Committee approved a Design Study Session recently.
