Demolition permits have been filed to clear the way for a multi-structure office complex at 3625 Peterson Way in Santa Clara by Highway 101. Construction will yield eight-story office buildings connected by sky bridges. Boston Properties and ARC Tec Inc. are responsible for the development.

The 138-foot development would create nearly 700,000 square feet of built area, excluding area for a 2,280-car garage. A single-story amenity building spanning 13,370 square feet will include entertainment and relaxation facilities for employees. The recreation building will complement the inner-block landscaped courtyard. The two eight-story office buildings will yield a combined 676,310 square feet.

The eye-catching building is expected to feature two sky bridges interlocking a light-blue curtain-wall form between the transparent-glass buildings. Along with access between office floors, the top of each bridge opens the opportunity for open-air decks on the fourth and eighth levels.

Demolition will remove a two-story office building currently occupied by the Newport Corporation. The process will require the removal of asphalt and 173 trees.
The office building is located in a commercial section of the city, surrounded by other office campuses and some new apartments. The Great America amusement park and Mission College campus are located across Highway 101. Lawrence Station Caltrain station is ten minutes away from 3625 Peterson Way by bicycle.
