Preliminary review is pending for a project proposed at 70 North 27th Street in Five Wounds, San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building with residential and trail spaces. The project calls for the demolition of existing structures on the site.

LPMD Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction.

The property site is a parcel that spans an area of 1.1 acres. The mixed-use project will bring 205 residences. The residences are offered as a mix of studios and one-bedroom units. 5% of the total residential units will be reserved for low-income households.

The project is yet to receive staff feedback from San Jose City Planning Commission and a fixed construction timeline has not been announced yet.

The property site is located close to 101, 280,680, and 880 Freeway. San Jose International Airport is an eleven-minute drive away.

  1. much more importantly, the site is adjacent to the future 28th Street/Little Portugal BART station, which I’m sure is the reason for the interest in developing it
