New plans have been revealed for an eight-story residential building at 1330 N Street in Downtown Sacramento. The proposal, called The Warren, contrasts with an earlier version with a sleek design by Kohn Pedersen Fox. D&S Development is responsible for the proposal, set to add 17 condominiums and 75 apartment units to the state capitol’s housing market.

HRGA Architecture is responsible for the new design. The structure will rise 98 feet tall to yield 143,330 square feet above the .44 acre property, with roughly ​​20,000 square feet of parking for over 50 vehicles and 1,750 square feet for a future restaurant or bar. Parking will be included for at least 46 bicycles in accordance with the city code.

    WOW – what a downgrade. So disappointing. Talk about value engineering.

  2. @Michael, it is a downgrade, but not a big downgrade. Increase in condo (ownership vs rentals) is good. Wish there were fewer paying for automobiles and more bicycles as well as a few more units. Is a very nice lively spot. Been in this area many times. Great uninterrupted view to the state capital & park too.

    Make this happen! Build it!!!

  3. A realistic design that pencils and will be a huuuge improvement to this block and neighborhood. Get it done!
