A preliminary application has been filed seeking the approval of a residential project proposed at 681 27th Street in the Hoover-Foster neighborhood in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story residential building on a vacant lot.

Gunkel Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.

The project site is a vacant parcel spanning an area of 5,650 square feet. Plans call for the construction of a three-story residential building featuring sixteen units. Parking space with a capacity of 20 vehicles will be developed on the site.

The building will feature a rooftop deck amongst other residential amenities. The building facade will rise to a height of 35 feet.

A preliminary planning review is pending for density bonus, and an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

The project site is located in a resident-friendly neighborhood with various retail stores and restaurants nearby. The project site is located half a mile from 19th Street Oakland BART station.

  1. Wayyyyyy too much parking

  2. With 16 units, why waste space for 20 cars. Less car parking could mean more space and funds for living units and possibly bicycle parking. This space is served by reliable and on time AC transit and to BART.
