A preliminary application has been filed seeking the approval of a mixed-use project at 3824 Foothill Boulevard in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use facility offering residential and commercial spaces. Plans call for the demolition of a series of one and two-story commercial and residential buildings on the site.
Tecta Associates is the project applicant.
The property site consists of two parcels merged into one, measuring an area of 6460 square feet. The project proposes to construct a new three-story building offering 12 residential units on the upper floors. Commercial space will be developed on the ground floor. The building will feature an off-street parking space to the rear of the site with a capacity of 11 vehicles. The parking will be accessed through an existing 10 feet wide easement shared with the adjacent property.
The facade will rise to a height of 25 feet.
The project is in initial stages pending approvals from Oakland Planning Commission. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
