A new design has been proposed for a residential development at 1357 34th Street in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of three two-story work-live units within an existing building.

Hollis Street Partners, LLC is the project applicant.

The project site will combine eleven lots into one, spanning a total area of approximately 2 acres. The project will construct three new additional two-story work-live units within the existing work-live building. The existing project was approved to have 94 residential units, 30 work/live units and 2,900-sf of retail space.

The project application is under review and an estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

This article reeks of AI. What’s actually happening is 1357 34th St is essentially done… the whole block is complete except for one hold out at 1371. The developer will be demo’ing (not re-using) the existing industrial structures and complete the remaining, planned but not built, units. You’re welcome.

  2. Why did they cut down the mature street trees on the Haven Street side?
They planted young new trees as a “replacement”, but it’ll be decades until they grow big.
