New plans have been filed for a residential infill at 805 Jones Street in Northwest Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will add to the existing structure and build three new duplexes. Berkeley-based Wadlund+ Design Studio is listed as responsible for the design.
The 0.18-acre parcel is between 5th and 6th Street, by the 5 ½ Street alleyway bridging Jones Street to Page Street. The property is located by 1463 5th Street, built in 2015, and 1446 Fifth Street, completed in 2019 by the same architect responsible for the 805 Jones Street application.
The firm’s other projects in the vicinity exhibit similar architectural vernacular with barrel roofing and contemporary facade materials. One is clad with corrugated steel, and the other with lap siding, stucco, and wood-look panels.
Hiroshi Morimoto, a local architect and photographer, is listed as the property owner. A timeline for construction and completion has not yet been established. Wadlund has not yet replied to a request for comment.
