A proposed residential project has broken ground at its site at 166 East Fremont Avenue in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the development of a residential project featuring 50+ townhomes and onsite amenities. The project demolished one low-rise commercial building on the site and will renovate another on the easterly portion of the existing Fremont Corners shopping center.

San Ramon-based True Life Companies is responsible for the development. SDG Architects is responsible for the design. R3 Studios is the Landscape Architect.

New renderings were published for the townhouse development, Homes Built for America. TTLC also announced ground breaking on its other latest Bay Area developments – Fusion in Hayward, and Vida in Sunnyvale. The residential community is an inspired mix of 55 townhomes, including nine live-work residences. Fusion’s 55 townhomes will include spacious residences ranging from approximately 1,750 to 2,460 square feet, with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The neighborhood’s nine live-work residences will include kitchenettes, which are ideal for entrepreneurs.

Vida is a new enclave of 85 modern townhomes, is nestled in a vibrant, mixed-use setting in Sunnyvale, one of the Bay Area’s most sought-after cities. Vida’s first phase offers 50 of the total 85 residences that will comprise the community at buildout. These well-appointed homes will range from approximately 1,365 to 2,037 square feet, with 2- and 3-bedroom floorplan options to choose from. The mixed-use environment will include a renovated commercial space encompassing over 8,000 square feet.

Facades will be covered with horizontal sliding, stucco with a light sand finish, and stone veneer articulated to create a busy variety to the aesthetic. Each residential building will be surrounded by green space, with buildings three and four faces each other to shelter a central courtyard and short tree-lined paseo trail.

Both Hayward and Sunnyvale are especially popular locations due to their proximity to major employment centers, shopping, entertainment and more. These two developments will join SoMi, a new townhome and condominium community also by Homes Built for America, now selling in Hayward. Spacious floorplans, designer finishes, balconies and dog parks are among SoMi’s many perks, driving its popularity among buyers in this region. Together with SoMi, Fusion and Vida will bring further attainable housing to the Bay Area.
