A preliminary application has been submitted seeking the approval of a new residential project proposed at 2601 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new multi-family residential building. The project site currently has a vacant residence slated for demolition.

The scope of work includes the construction of a multi-family residential building offering 100 units. An SB330 preliminary application is under review. Senate Bill 330, or SB 330, has been an important law to make it more difficult for city and town governments to stonewall the construction of new housing if it meets a certain level of affordable housing. As written in the law, SB 330, “prohibits a local agency from disapproving, or conditioning approval in a manner that renders infeasible, a housing development project for very low, low-, or moderate-income households or an emergency shelter unless the local agency makes specified written findings based on a preponderance of the evidence in the record.”

Information on the design team has not been revealed yet. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. Stay tuned to SFYIMBY.com for more details on such projects.
