A project application has been submitted for review proposing the development of a townhome community at 10065 East Estates Drive in Cupertino. The project proposal includes the construction of townhomes on a site that previously housed a commercial center.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 147,233 square feet. The scope of work includes the construction of a residential community offering 55 townhomes. More information on the project design team and floor plans is yet to be released.
An SB330 application has been submitted, which prohibits a local agency from disapproving, or conditioning approval in a manner that renders infeasible, a housing development project for very low, low-, or moderate-income households or an emergency shelter unless the local agency makes specified written findings based on a preponderance of the evidence in the record.
The area continues to attract residential and mixed-use developments. The City of Cupertino recently approved plans for The Rise, a mixed-use bringing thousands of homes, retail, offices, and parking garages in close proximity to the proposed townhome community.
The preliminary application is under review. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. Stay tuned to SFYIMBY.com for more such updates.
