Preliminary permits have been filed for a townhouse development at 10012 North Foothill Boulevard in Cupertino, Santa Clara County. The pre-application looks to replace two commercial structures with 19 units. AlphaX RE Capital is the project sponsor.

Alignment Architects, Inc. is responsible for the design and site planning. The project will include 19 townhouse developments across four structures, including a two-bedroom unit, 12 three-bedroom units, and six four-bedroom units. Of the 19 units, three will be deed-restricted as affordable housing. The application invokes Senate Bill 330 to streamline the approval process.

Earlier this year, AlphaX broke ground on a six-building townhouse project at 300 Redding Road in Campbell, Santa Clara County.

The 0.78-acre property is located along Foothill Boulevard between Stevens Creek Boulevard and Cupertino Road. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.

    Parking nightmare.

    • This part of Cupertino is incredibly low density. Even for cars it’s low density. So shouldn’t be a problem. Plus any step towards higher density eventually means these poor people forced to live in Cupertino (for whatever reason) will be better able to build themselves a lively city.
