A zoning worksheet permit has been filed for the affordable senior housing proposal at 2372 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The new application has reduced its residential capacity from 60 to 52 units. Agnes Memorial Church has partnered with Related California to develop the project.

Previous plans published by the City of Oakland show a four-story podium-style complex with an articulated collage-style facade. The initial plan contained 60 units and parking for 18 cars. The permit used Senate Bill 35 and the State Density Bonus program to streamline approval and receive zoning concessions.

HKIT Architects will remain the project architect. The new design will likely be similar to the previous project.

The existing structures, which include a few single-story buildings owned by the church, will need to be demolished. The project team has yet to reply to a request for comment. An expected timeline for construction and project cost has yet to be shared.
