The City of San Jose is scheduled to review plans tomorrow for the proposed expansion at 2505-2577 Samaritan Drive, Santa Clara County. The planning director will review the project to add two medical offices and a garage within the Good Samaritan Hospital campus. Cilker Henderson Properties is the lead developer.
The current phase of the Cilker Henderson proposal that is under review will bring two six-story office structures spanning a combined 313,590 square feet and a six-story garage with 308,100 square feet. Construction will continue through Saturdays to expedite the project timeline and minimize disruption. RBB Architects is responsible for the design.
The developer started pursuing plans for the site in 2015, with new building permits filed in late 2022. By 2023, representatives told Bay Area New Group journalist George Avalos that construction of the first phase is expected to finish by 2029. The master plan includes 161,000 square feet of additional medical office space at 2512 Samaritan Court.
The Samaritan Medical Center spans over 13 acres by the clover intersection of Route 17 and Route 85 near the city’s border with Los Gato and the Santa Cruz mountains.
The city Planning Director hearing is scheduled to start tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5th, at 9 AM. For more information on how to attend in person or online, visit the meeting agenda here.
