A new residential project has been proposed for development at 3193 Mckee Road in San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of a new townhome community with residential amenities.

TDDG LLC is listed as the project applicant. SS Realty LLC is the owner.

The scope of the submitted application includes allowing the subdivision of the parcel to construct 10 townhome-style residences and related residential amenities on one existing parcel. Out of the total, two of the project’s units are proposed as affordable to low-income housing.

An SB330 application has been submitted, which prohibits a local agency from disapproving, or conditioning approval in a manner that renders infeasible, a housing development project for very low, low-, or moderate-income households or an emergency shelter unless the local agency makes specified written findings based on a preponderance of the evidence in the record.

A project application has been submitted, pending review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

  1. Wahoo another disconnected subdivision to further the reliance on cars in San Jose. If I were running the planning at SJ I would immediately begin to allow corner cafes, bars and shops in residential neighborhoods, gentle density and start turning those deadly stroads into something the neighborhoods can be proud of. It’s soooo boring to develop in SJ outside of downtown. Let’s make it interesting!

    • I love mixed use to promote walkable, interesting, neighborhoods. Besides any zoning that would have to change, I’ve heard that one tricky aspect about adding commercial units is financing becomes much more expensive. The loan type becomes a commercial loan when you add a commercial unit to an apartment complex. And that is significantly more expensive than a residential loan. We need to incentivise and make it easy developers to build beautiful neighborhoods
