The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tomorrow evening for a suburban expansion at 511 Cozy Drive in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project would replace a vacant school campus with 80 homes. The True Life Company is responsible for the development and is filing through TTLC San Jose Glider, LLC.

The development will produce 80 residential units across 72 structures, with 64 single-family houses and eight attached duplexes. The site will include around two acres of public right-of-way and a 0.9-acre park. The roughly 9.5-acre property is located in the Glider neighborhood, a sprawling suburban area in southern San Jose, close to Santa Teresa County Park.
SDG Architects is overseeing the design, working with R3 Studios on the landscape architecture. Illustrations label the housing as a mix of bungalow and Craftsman-style vernacular. The new enclave will include a small landscaped pocket park with a lawn, outdoor seating, and a children’s play area.
The former Glider Elementary School campus was sold to the True Life Company in 2022 for over $26 million. Oak Grove School District is still listed as the property owner. Construction is estimated to last around 44 months, or just under four years, from groundbreaking to completion.
