Updated permits have been filed for a small residential infill project at 425 West MacArthur Boulevard in Mosswood, Oakland. The plans would replace an existing duplex with twenty apartments. The project applicant is now a San Jose-based shell company, 425 W MacArthur LLC.
Plans for the Mosswood property have increased modestly from 18 to 20 units compared with the late-2023 filed application. Further information about the development has yet to be published.
Public records show the property last sold in early 2024 for $1.16 million, an increase from the early 2023 sale for $1.02 million. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be shared.
The 0.16-acre parcel is located along West MacArthur Boulevard between Webster Street and Telegraph Avenue. Residents will be less than ten minutes away on foot from the MacArthur BART Station and the retail-rich Piedmont Avenue. For open space, Mosswood Park across Webster Street offers residents several athletic fields, an amphitheater, and a playground.
