Development permits have been filed for a duplex infill project at 878 Pine Street in West Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal would develop a vacant lot on the western edge of the neighborhood bound by Interstate 880. Mr. Leon Augustine Boirard of LAB Wealth Management is listed as the property owner filing through Pine Street Venture LLC.

The 33-foot-tall structure is expected to yield around 2,700 square feet of housing. The development will include a two-bedroom unit and a three-bedroom dwelling. On-site parking will not be provided.

Antioch-based Oakley & Oakley is the architect of record. Facade materials include a smooth stucco finish above horizontal wood-look cladding. The establishing rendering from the firm shows a generic contemporary-style townhouse with an angled butterfly roof.

The vacant lot is located along Pine Street between 8th Street and 9th Street. The site is across from the 801 Pine Street development from EBALDC and Allied Housing. Future residents will be around 15 minutes away from the West Oakland BART Station on foot, or four minutes via bicycle.
