Updated plans have been submitted for the Lake Merritt BART redevelopment in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The application for the second half of Block One shows developers have shifted away from the 28-story tower with mostly market-rate housing to a fully affordable eight-story complex dubbed One Fallon. East Bay Asian Local Development Company is responsible for the application.
Plans have been filed for an affordable seven-story apartment complex at 2101 Brush Street in the Ralph Bunche neighborhood of West Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal would add 90 units to a recently cleared parcel near San Pablo Avenue and Uptown Oakland. East Bay Asian Local Development Company is responsible for the application.
Updated renderings have been published for the five-story senior affordable housing proposal within the 430 Broadway masterplan in Oakland’s Jack London Square neighborhood. The project, currently named 430 Broadway Building A, will replace the surface parking and annex of the former Alameda County Probation Department offices. Related Companies is responsible for the application.
A building worksheet has been submitted for the ongoing proposal at 430 Broadway in Oakland. Last reported on by SF YIMBY in December of 2025, the development plans have since progressed past interim site projects and is now ready to move forward with major building plans.
Initial permits were submitted for the grading and site preparation of a parcel at 285 12th Street in Oakland. The site is currently under a development proposal to bring 65 new units of affordable housing to Oakland’s Downtown/Chinatown neighborhood. SF YIMBY most recently reported on this project in December of 2025, when it was announced that the project’s developer EBALDC was awarded a sizable grant from the state climate action programs. Since then, the project has begun to move forward with preparation for construction.
